Split PDF
Runs locally
Pull specific pages out of a PDF (like "1-3,5"), or split every page into its own separate PDF file — whichever you need. Nothing is uploaded; the file is read and split entirely in your browser.

How it works
The PDF is read locally and checked against the real PDF file signature, not just its name. Pages are then copied into new PDF documents using pdf-lib, a dedicated PDF library — pages carry their own fonts, images and layout internally, so extracting them correctly means understanding a PDF's internal structure, not just cutting bytes.
Common use cases
- Pulling the signature page out of a long contract
- Sending someone just the relevant pages of a report
- Breaking a scanned multi-document PDF into one file per document
Frequently asked questions
- Does this upload my PDF anywhere?
- No. Splitting happens entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to a server.
- How do I write a page range?
- Comma-separated pages and ranges, like "1-3,5" for pages 1, 2, 3 and 5. Order is kept exactly as written.
- What's the difference between the two modes?
- "Extract specific pages" combines the pages you choose into one PDF. "Split into one file per page" gives you a separate single-page PDF for every page in the document.
- Is there a page limit?
- Splitting into one file per page is limited to 500 pages, to keep the browser responsive.
